Contoh Narrative Text Legend dan Dongeng Gua Kunci
In an area there is a village called Karang Krepyak, where it is prosperous and inhabited by hundreds of people. Karang Krepyak during the Dutch colonial era became one of the important trade routes.
Its location, which is not too far from the eastern end of the island of Java makes it a frequent stopover for traders. There’s nothing out of the ordinary, almost like a village in that era.
The cave has actually been known by the local community for a long time but was left alone. There are no myths or news regarding the cave, and it is often used as a shelter when it rains.
But Robert Halman found a small hole as wide as a Javanese shoulder. He ordered one of his men to enter the hole with a torch.
His servant said that inside there was a large room that even the people around did not know about it. The messenger returned and reported to Halman regarding the situation there.
Instantly Halman immediately planned an exploration to explore the cave. Starting from widening the passage so that Europeans can easily enter there to research it.
The project went well and even gold nuggets and precious crystals were found there. But one night an old man warned Halman’s errand boy to stop the project.
Of course the ban was ignored because there are big advantages there. Sure enough the morning when eight people including Halman entered there for the umpteenth time the cave collapsed.
The passages and mouths of the caves were simply buried and locked everyone inside. Until now, the local people call this cave a key cave and cannot be approached at all.
Namun Robert Halman menemukan sebuah lubang kecil selebar bahu orang Jawa.
Mbah Kliwon for people nowadays, maybe his name seems haunted because there is the word kliwon.
Even though he had that name because he was born on Tuesday Kliwon, so his parents named him that way.
Mbah Kliwon is an old youth who people say has never been before in his life. He worked every day as a maker of farming tools such as sickles, hoes and gancu.
When the VOC began to control the land of Java, Mbah Kliwon was already in his eighties. He is an old man unable to walk alone without the aid of a cane.
Until one day a VOC man named Han Himmler told him to make a stick. Han Himmler had one of his legs paralyzed by being hit by a cannon during a battle at sea.
Han Himmler knew that mbah Kliwon was one of the best commoners in the village. He has brought materials directly from Europe to make sticks.
Of course Mbah Kliwon made it with pleasure, he even refused to be paid. Mbah Kliwon knows how hard it is for a young man who has difficulty walking.
Within two days the wand was finished and the next day Himmler came to collect it. But when Himler was about to take it, Mbah Kliwon was not in his hut.
There was only a fine iron staff stuck near the furnace where he used to forge. Himmler ordered his men to look for mbah Kliwon all over the village but could not find him.
Finally Himmler decided to take the stick but failed to thank mbah Kliwon. While on his way to the port, Han Himmler was attacked by a group of Javanese bandits.
The entire crew was mercilessly killed, but strangely the bandits’ bullets and machete slashes had no effect on him.
Many Javanese people think that it is supernatural powers inherited from Mbah Kliwon.
Since then Han Himmler was the only VOC person who mastered kanuragan. Twenty years later Han Himmler was going back to Europe and left the wand where he picked it up.
