Cinderella

Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, there was a kind and beautiful girl named Cinderella. She lived with her wicked stepmother and two stepsisters who treated her very badly. They made her do all the household chores and never allowed her to have any fun.

One day, the King announced that there would be a grand ball at the palace, and every young woman in the kingdom was invited. Cinderella’s stepsisters were excited and spent days preparing their dresses. Cinderella also wanted to go to the ball, but her stepmother forbade her and made her stay home to do more chores.

As Cinderella was crying in the kitchen, her fairy godmother appeared. With a wave of her magic wand, the fairy godmother transformed Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful gown and gave her a pair of glass slippers. She also turned a pumpkin into a splendid carriage and mice into horses to take her to the ball. The fairy godmother warned her that the magic would only last until midnight.

At the ball, Cinderella captivated everyone, including the Prince, who danced with her all night. However, when the clock struck midnight, Cinderella remembered her fairy godmother’s warning and hurriedly left the palace, losing one of her glass slippers on the stairs.

The Prince was determined to find the girl who had captured his heart. He searched the kingdom, trying the glass slipper on every young woman. Finally, he arrived at Cinderella’s house. The stepsisters tried to squeeze their feet into the slipper, but it didn’t fit. When Cinderella tried it on, the slipper fit perfectly. The Prince recognized her as the girl from the ball, and they were married soon after, living happily ever after.

She wanted to help Cinderella go to the ball. With a wave of her hand, she made Cinderella look like a princess. She gave her a beautiful new gown, glass slippers, and shiny black horses to reach the ball. Before leaving, the fairy godmother said “this magic will only last until midnight! You must reach back home by then!”. When Cinderella entered the palace, everybody was awestruck by her beauty, she was the prettiest girl at the ball. Even her stepsisters didn’t recognize her.

The handsome prince also saw her and fell in love with her. All the other girls were very jealous of her because the prince danced with her the whole night. She enjoyed herself so much that she almost forgot what the fairy godmother had told her about her magic. However, when she saw the time and remembered the godmother’s words she quickly left the palace and ran away. In all the hurry, one glass slipper which she was wearing was left on the castle steps.

The prince had fallen in love with her and wanted to find out who she was as he wanted to marry her. The next day, he ordered his king’s men to go to every house in the land and find the girl whose foot fits in the glass slipper. When they reached Cinderella’s house, the two stepsisters tried their best to squeeze their big feet into the slippers, but they could not make it. Finally, when Cinderella tried the slipper, her foot fit perfectly into the glass slipper. The prince recognized her from the ball night. He married Cinderella soon in a grand ceremony and they lived happily ever after.
